NASA recreates the Apollo 13 journey with 4K quality

NASA made a high quality 4K video that recreates images that Apollo 13 collected from the Moon many years ago.

Apollo 13 was one of NASA's most extraordinary lunar missions to be carried out in 1970. Initially, Apollo 13's goal was to land on the Moon. However, the spacecraft has encountered unexpected problems that threaten the lives of three astronauts.

The time of the accident became extremely difficult for NASA and its crew. It took day and night efforts to ensure the safety of the three people aboard the Apollo 13.

Instead of landing on the Moon as originally intended, the crew of Apollo 13 was forced to change plans because of the incident.Astronauts have circled the Moon . They then used the moon's gravity to propel them back to Earth safely and quickly.

Although unexpected, the flight around the Moon reluctantly helped the astronauts with the most intimate, vivid images and views of the place.

Now 50 years later, NASA recreates the flight of the Apollo 13 crew around the Moon in a video clip. With the help of the Moon Reconnaissance Orbiter's high-resolution camera, the image quality in the clip was pushed to 4K.

To describe the 5-minute clip, NASA said: "This video uses data collected from the Reconnaissance Orbiter to recreate some of the stunning images of the Moon captured by Apollo 13 astronauts. on a perilous journey of 1970 ".

When recording these images, the Apollo crew were under suffocating pressure. At the time, they were trapped in a cold spaceship, severed from all contact with the Earth and were unsure whether there was any chance to return to Earth.

In the end, the three Apollo 13 astronauts survived and returned home safely. Rescuing the Apollo spacecraft is still considered one of NASA's greatest achievements to date.
