NASA celebrates 45 years of Apollo 11 landing on the Moon
On July 20, 1969, the world witnessed the historic landing of three astronauts: Neil Armstrong, NASA's Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins on Apollo 11, landing for the first time on the Moon, performing Historical mission "Great progress of mankind".
The Apollo 11 spacecraft and three astronauts left Earth on July 16, 1969 at the Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida and landed on the Moon on July 20, 1969. Later, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin spent more than two hours walking on the Moon and conducting experiments and sampling.
Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first to mark the footsteps of humans on the Moon, and astronauts Michael Collins was responsible for sitting inside to control the Apollo 11 system.
On July 24, 1969, Apollo 11 and three astronauts safely landed in the Pacific, ending an eight-day journey in the history of human progress.
