NASA removed the ban on Chinese scientists

The US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has just lifted a ban on six Chinese scientists attending the Kepler Space Telescope Program, 10 days after the ban was issued.

Earlier, the NSA refused to invite Chinese scientists to attend for national security reasons. However, on October 20, China's Xinhua news agency reported that Chinese scientists were banned from receiving an invitation to attend the event from the conference organizer, which took place from April 4. The previous ban has angered China. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has accused NASA of discriminating and argued that scientific conferences should not be affected by political reasons.

According to many sources, the incident happened because NASA misinterpreted a security law issued by President Obama in 2011 and a budget bill submitted by MP Frank Wolf; in which NASA fund regulations are not used in cooperation activities with China or allow Chinese visitors to visit the agency's facilities.

Charlie Bolden, NASA's director, said the error belonged to the leader of NASA's Ames Research Center Research Center, the conference organizer.
