NASA's message makes it easy for aliens to misunderstand

The gold disc introduced to humanity by NASA sent into space on Voyager 1 and 2 can confuse aliens.

, launched into space by the US Aerospace Agency in 1977, can bring a completely different message to aliens. Instead of illustrating intelligent humanity and loving peace as expected by NASA, people can be misunderstood as having an argument, speaking in a grammatical way and seeing the beauty of blooming blooming flowers like chainsaws, follow the Guardian.

The researchers raised the possibility that NASA's upper and 2 gold record discs confuse aliens at a meeting of the National Space Association in Los Angeles on November 26. Rebecca Orchard and Sheri Wells-Jensen of Ohio's Bowling Green University identified 117 photos, humpback whale sounds, greetings in 54 languages, 20 minutes of life on Earth and 90 minutes of music playing. The Earth in the record plate is all directed to the human being.

"The golden disc is a beautiful artifact and represents the way people want to see themselves, but it was born to be able to receive and decipher by certain species that have a sensory gathering like humans. If they lack a sense or have a completely different sense, the gold disc will be a little confusing , " Orchard said.

Orchard and Wells-Jensen looked at the data on the disk and considered the alien civilization with another sensory gathering we could understand. The greetings "piled up in a way that could be translated into a grammatical controversy , " Orchard concluded.

The 30cm gold-plated copper disc has a face that contains sound and the other side contains images. This design can increase misunderstandings. If the alien civilization tries to pair sound with their objects, life on Earth can be very strange."What if you picture a narcissus blooming with a roaring sound of a chain saw?" , Orchard said.

The most puzzling thing is probably music, from classical music by Bach and Stravinsky to Indonesian folk music and Bulgarian folk music."Obviously I cannot say how different types of music will be interpreted, but I am sure it will create a puzzle for listeners who are completely alien to humans and sounds. Humans create, " Orchard said.

Voyager 1 is flying 19 billion km away and is the most artificial object far from Earth. It will come near another star system after 40,000 years.
