The opportunity to send the final message to aliens

Scientists are rushing to release the last short message to aliens before the spacecraft carries information about the Earth leaving the solar system.

When the Voyager probe pair set off in the 1970s, they brought with them images of life on Earth in the hope that someday, aliens would come across probes and be somewhat knowledgeable about human.

Prepare a short message to aliens

The gilded aluminum plates are placed on the ship , coding information about the history, geography, mathematics, physics, the greatest musical compositions of man and the sound of a lover.

Now, after nearly four decades, scientists believe that the Earth has changed to the point that an update is needed. They want to inform aliens about the development of the Internet, the doubling of population and the fear of climate change.

Chris Riley, professor of science and communications at Lincoln University, England, plans to use energy left from Voyager to deliver a new message. The problem is that this floating data storage is 20 billion kilometers from Earth and may have left the solar system.

The new message cannot be longer than 1,000 characters because of bandwidth limitations for large distances. Scientists need to decide on the content of the message as soon as possible to contact the probe.

According to Riley, scientists still have the opportunity to update human portraits. Voyager onboard computer memory is sufficient to store a final short message in text form before the power vessel runs in the 2020s.

"We launched very few spacecraft out of the solar system, and this is a rare opportunity to send the last message to other planets via Voyager. The information on gold-plated aluminum plates is interesting, but We have the opportunity to let the cosmic civilizations know about life on Earth today, the challenges we face, the way we globalize, and many changes have taken place after the ship. Voyager left , " said The Telegraph on October 17, referring to Riley.

Leaving Earth in the summer of 1977, Voyager 1 and 2 probes spent 12 years mapping the planets in the solar system before advancing into the Kuiper belt, heading to the far reaches of the universe. According to the researchers, Voyager may have left the solar system in 2014.
