New guns help police detect the driver is calling
A Virginia-based company has developed a gun that can identify drivers who are calling, texting or accessing the internet to help the police stream the ransom.
The company is currently awaiting regulatory approval for use of the device because of fears of infringement of personal freedoms, but ComSonics' Malcolm MacIntyre told Virginian-Pilot it was "close to production." However, it is very practical for law enforcement in some states in the United States or in other countries.

For example, for states like Virginia, where phone calls while driving are legal but not texting, this can be especially helpful.
In other countries in the world, including Vietnam, texting, calling, listening to music, ... or generally "using a mobile phone" when driving is prohibited.
Even in the UK, the penalty is extremely severe. In particular, if a driver drives a vehicle using a telephone, a fine of up to £ 1,000 can be imposed and a permanent driver's license may be deprived.
This device uses the same technology used by cable repairers to locate where a cable is damaged. On the device there is a screen to display the "firing" frequency, which will help the police to accurately judge the operation of the driver is doing with the phone.
