New method of producing anti-broken screen

Screen scraping is an unpleasant accident for mobile users. One of the reasons is that on the surface of the touch screen or TV are coated with a layer of tin oxide is quite brittle and fragile.

To overcome this shortcoming, a team of scientists at Akron University has successfully developed a screen-making method with a transparent electrode array to break the touch screen of mobile devices. The study was published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society last week.

During the fabrication process, the researchers turned the conductive metal film and transparent into a nano-sized mesh. Then, the "transparent mesh" was spread evenly over the polymer surface, which was completely transparent to create a complete touch screen. To test the durability, the material has to undergo repeated folding tests, at the same time, the researchers use tape to check whether the electrode network is sticking to the polymer membrane. .

The results showed that when gluing a piece of tape and using the force of strong ripple simultaneously folded polymer sheet 180 but the durability is guaranteed. Even so, the sheet still proved durable after repeated the process over more than 1000 times.

Although it is made entirely new technology, but the new generation of monitors ensure transparency as the tin oxide (ITO) screen. Even comparative tests show that the new monitor has a higher conductivity than previous versions. What's more, the new method allows for the production of touchscreens at lower cost and easier on a large scale.

"We hope this technology will officially appear on the market as a direct competitor of the ITO screen." The breakdown of the mobile device's screen will is resolved thoroughly with this new technology in the near future. "
