Number of leaders revealed on the face?

We can know if someone is a leader simply by observing their facial features, according to a new study.

Researchers also found that certain facial features could even be successful in any career.

The discovery came after researchers from Warwick Business School (England) conducted a survey of adults in the foggy island nation. They gave adults a series of photos of unfamiliar faces to choose from as corporate executives (CEOs), political officials, sports coaches and generals in the military.

According to researchers, certain facial features may reveal whether someone is a leader in some field or not.

The team used images of a total of 325 CEOs, 64 military generals, 66 state governors during the 1996 - 2006 period and 43 US football coaches.

The surveyed Britons will be shown photos of two different faces each at the same title, such as military generals, and asked to select faces that match that title. Experts will remove the identified faces from the set of photo samples.

Results showed that most volunteers correctly predicted the leadership position of the person in the picture.

The researchers discovered that certain facial features such as high cheekbones, thin lips and sunken eyes were considered typical for the manager or sports coach. Meanwhile, a masculine face and square jaw often show that the owner is a military general. A slim face, long nose and eyes close to each other are said to be associated with people with high positions in the business sector.

According to research reports, while identifying military, sports and business leaders is relatively easy, identifying politicians is more difficult. Political leaders are judged to have a "warm" face but they do not possess any other easily identifiable characteristics.

Dr. Dawn Eubanks, a research team member, emphasized: "Our findings imply, in areas such as sports, business and military, individuals gain the highest leadership position. often share some common facial features, help distinguish them from "bosses" in other areas, the most likely explanation, in our opinion, is that the leaders are chosen partly because of their appearance ".
