One of the most mysterious animals in the Amazon for the first time

The last time anyone saw saki Vanzolini was in 1956, when two researchers entered the western Amazon area and came back with the bodies of two monkeys. However, both confirmed that they found their bodies, not seeing how they functioned in the wild. And since then, there have not been any more reports, pictures of this animal, until a hunter accidentally revealed in early 2017.

As a result, Dr. Marsh undertook a survey, and now they can finally confirm the existence of Vanzolini monkeys in the wild. But unfortunately, we found them at a very dangerous time: hunting, deforestation is making the living environment narrower, the number of species declined sharply.

According to Marsh, they are hoping that the authorities will soon make decisions about preserving the animal.
