Onyx - Communication equipment for teams, teams
In Star Trek , the Starfleet peacekeeping team can communicate with each other simply by clicking on the badge on the chest. Inspired by this, OnBeep (USA) experts invented the device called Onyx.
This rounded device has a plastic cover for attaching to a shirt, a jacket, or a carrying strap. It allows communication in a group of up to 15 people and is controlled through an application of OnBeep that users download to their iOS or Android phone.
Onyx connects to the phone via Bluetooth. By pressing the button located between the device and seeing the LED light ring, the user can speak to the microphone. This message is sent to the group when they receive a "beep".
The San Francisco-based maker says Onyx is designed for emergency relief situations where rescuers need to contact the entire team while maintaining a focus on the rescue mission. .
Onyx is said to be more efficient than bulky and heavy radio communications. But Onyx is also useful in everyday life, such as when a group of people are preparing for a major event, when you are busy carrying things or are unable to communicate on the phone.
