Orangutans go on like a circus actor

Kidogo's 'Guys' live at Krefeld Zoo, Germany, can just walk while balancing on a rope like a professional circus actor.

Kidogo displayed the ability to balance as a circus actor.

At the end of March last year, the 12-year-old Orangutan Kidogo was transferred from Denmark's Givskud zoo to Germany's Krefeld zoo. The German Zoo requires this transfer because the male bird named Massa at this zoo was previously unable to reproduce.

Currently, Kidogo is living in the same neighborhood as the female orangutans Muna, 23, and Oya, 24, hoping they will create a new generation of orangutans.

When he was moved to his new home, Kidogo, had a hard time when he was not at home. To make Kidogo happier, the zoo workers stretched a rope so Kidogo could swing on it. But a surprising thing happened was that the orangutan climbed up again and started walking on it.

This hobby helps Kidogo to relieve the nostalgia of the old place.

With this special ability, Kidogo is likened to the famous wire-balancing artist Nik Wallenda, the first to cross the famous Niagara waterfall complex (located between Ontario province of Canada and New York state of America) on a cable across two banks.

It may still take a long way to catch up with Nik Wallenda's achievement, but Kidogo's actions show that at least he is starting to get used to his new and very likely living environment, which will help I 'scored' with the orangutans.
