Peru has successfully launched the first spacecraft designed entirely by the country's scientists. This is considered a stepping stone for Peru to develop its aerospace programs.
The Paulet I was launched at 3:30 pm on December 26 at the Peruvian Air Force Base (FAP) in Punta Lobos, Pucusana, 50 km south of the capital Lima.
According to Colonel Wolfgang Dupeyrat, Paulet I ship is 2.72 m long, weighs 99 kg, designed and manufactured by experts from the FAP and the Peruvian Aerospace Research and Development Committee (CONIDA) for 2 years. .
This spacecraft carries equipment to measure the atmosphere above, including pressure, temperature and humidity .
