Random inventions worth the price

There have been inventions that upset the world, which were born casually, like Viagra for the strong sex or Penicillin antibiotics . Wired magazine has collected some of them that have been " lucky ".

Initially Viagra was studied as a medicine to treat sore throats. The world's men are grateful to the people of Mertir Tidefeel in Wales. It was there in 1992, during the testing process, a great side effect of the drug was discovered.

LSD (hallucinogenic synthetic drug)

Microwave

Magnetrons used to operate at allied radar stations during the Second World War. But the new application was discovered in 1946, when a magnetron melted chocolate in the pocket of Percy Spenser - an engineer at Raytheon, USA.

Vulcanized rubber

Unvulcanized rubber is poorly resistant to external influences and unpleasant odors. Charles Goodyear invented the vulcanization process when accidentally placing a mixture of rubber and sulfur on a burning oven.
