The mother of the rhino named Kapuki is an 8-year-old rhino, but the rhino of Maku is a 27-year-old black rhino. At birth, the baby rhino weighs 27kg and has a stable health condition, Nature World News said.

Zoo employees continue to watch to make sure the baby rhino grows in the best way. Mark Kamhout, a mammal worker, said the baby rhino was taken care of by nurses but still had time to spend with his mother and take a nap.
This is the second black rhino born in the US this year. In August, a 7-year-old black rhino named Andazia gave birth at the Atlanta Zoo.
The East African black rhinoceros can weigh up to 1.360kg and the characteristic of this species is that it has two horns, with an average length of 70cm in front of the horn. This rhino species is currently in critical condition when threatened by indiscriminate hunting for horns and habitat loss. According to statistics, there are currently about 5,055 black rhinos living in the wild environment around the world.
Zoo officials said they plan to launch a baby rhino with the public over the next few days to raise funds to take care of the baby rhino and rhino Kapuki's mother better.
