Reduces muscle contraction with Mollii
The painful muscle spasms caused by brain injury or neurological disorders are usually controlled only by medication or surgery.
But here, the patient can get rid of the pain simply by wearing a Mollii . This is the result of cooperation of orthopedic surgeons Fredrik Lundqvist and two experts Johan Gawell and Jonas Wistrand of the Royal Institute of Technology KTH (Sweden).
According to the inventors, Mollii has no side effects and users do not need to wear regular. It consists of a battery-operated controller mounted on the waist, connected to the 58-electrode-bonded silver ropes allocated throughout the dress. These electrodes transmit electrical stimulation to 42 different muscles.
Dr. Lundqvist said that wearing Mollii 3 times a week for several hours would help relieve contractions and relieve muscle tension. Mollii was tested at the Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden) and yielded satisfactory results. Currently Mollii is being distributed by KTH's Inerventions Company for more than $ 7,500.
