Robot fish detect contaminated water

Scientists have succeeded in inventing a 'fish robot'. This is a robot capable of detecting pollution of water sources, overcoming oil spills at sea , maintaining security as well as looking for victims at sea.

This robot can swim continuously for eight hours, equipped with a sensor to detect leaks from the ship or pipes beneath the seabed.

Thanks to the sensor, the fish robot has the ability to analyze in-situ what it collects in the pathway, which saves considerable time in transferring samples to the shore lab.

In addition, the robot can avoid obstacles encountered on the road and especially able to master the route and return when the power is low.

This robot fish is part of an EU-funded development project funded by a number of scientists from the University of Essex, Strathclyde University, England, and the Tyndall National Institute, Thales Safare, defense electronics in Europe, collaborative research.

This product is intended for sale for £ 20,000. Currently it is being redesigned a few places, then will be transferred to commercial production for this product.
