Robot serves the hospital
The robots have been deployed in hospitals in America, Japan, France and most recently in the UK.
Infection control is a task that no hospital dares to ignore. One of the important issues is to keep the hospital environment clean and sanitary. This hard work has been done by a team of robots to replace human power.
Royal Hospital Forth Valley (NHS) is the first medical facility in the UK deployed this robot army with a total value of 300 million pounds. The system is undergoing final inspection to officially operate in August this year.
Depending on the task, robots with the corresponding configuration will transport clinical wastes and other contaminants; Provide appropriate food for the patient or help with dosing. The robots go along the corridors reserved for them on the downstairs of the hospital. When needed, hospital staff will use a handheld digital device to call them. Each robot is equipped with a laser beam to help them find the right place, their sensors to pick up objects as required.
The Daily Mail quoted NHS spokesman Elspeth Campbell as saying that the robots themselves would help control infection.
