Diginfotv reports that Yaskawa Electric, a Japanese company, makes the robot. Smartpal VII, the name of a robot, can help users talk to relatives or clean their homes while away from home. It was upgraded to the Smartpal V - a prototype of the robot in 2007. All details of the Smartpal V have been improved to reduce the size of SmartPart VII.

With a human-like appearance, the robot's head is fitted with a rotating and tilting camera that acts as an infrared sensor, while the moving part has a gyro sensor. These units help Smartpal VII recognize the surrounding environment efficiently and move automatically with high accuracy.

The user can control the Smarpal VII easily by moving their hands. The robot will calculate itself to move the hands, back, and body in the most optimal way. The collision sensor under the arm helps it operate more safely.

'We have not decided what Smartphone will target. But the company's goal is to use robots to help people do their daily work , "said Yaskawa Electric.
