Build floating house to clean garbage on the sea
Korean designer Sung Jin Cho has set up a project to build a floating structure named Seawer.
This is a floating sea-level building that can produce electricity by using sea and sunshine, and functions to clean the ocean from plastic products' waste.
The Seawer consists of a ring of 550m in diameter and 300m in depth with 5 layers of separating the plastic particles from the sea water and transferring it to a floating house treatment station, while the cleansing seawater is deposited in a large tank at the bottom of the house before return to the sea.
It is expected that this seawater filter house is located in the center of the Pacific Ocean, where a lot of garbage and plastic waste is concentrated. While cleaning up garbage and using energy from renewable sources, Seawer will slowly swim from this polluted sea to other polluted waters with the function of cleaning and returning the clean environment to the marine environment.
