Rotary organizes 40 wheelchairs for Cho Ray Hospital

With the desire to contribute to helping patients who are able to move easily in hospitals and people with difficult mobility, on 3 July 2006, Rotary Australia Foundation presented Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) with 40 wheelchairs. .

Danny Low, regional director for Rotary, said: 'The average price of each wheelchair is between 65 and 70 USD, contributed by Australian and Vietnamese Australian donors.'

According to Danny Low, Cho Ray Hospital is the first unit to receive a wheelchair; Next is the neighboring provinces, Vietnam Association for the Disabled and Orphans. From now until July 14, 2006, Rotary will give a total of 252 wheelchairs worth US $ 14,000.
