Russia develops 'Robot Police'
Robot - police will join the Russian police force from now until 2030.
According to information from the company, the robot - police called Promobot is produced in Perm city and the company has now sold 200 4th generation robots. The company is putting its invention into the program "Landscape close " by the nation, proceeding to sign a contract with the Ministry of the Interior. By 2030, Russians may be served by robots-police officers at traffic police stations, immigration agencies at stages such as counseling, fingerprints, etc.
This robot is used to operate in a crowded place.
The company said the robots were used for operations in crowded places. For each specific job, the robot will set up its own program. For example, with the fingerprint and document scanning program, robots have the ability to scan and compare with the police database.
Compared with similar robots in the world, Promobot robots have the ability to operate completely independently without any human control. Promobot can communicate with people, recognize facial expressions and voice, move itself, avoid obstacles. Robots are connected to any offline system: from databases, security systems, websites and services.
On October 22, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev declared that low-level labor needs to be transferred to robots, to free people for creative thinking and timely decisions.
