According to The Guardian , the H5N8 flu has been around for a long time, often spreading among birds. This is the first time the disease has been found to be transmitted to humans. Russian scientists informed the World Health Organization (WHO).
Sheet Medical Xpress said in a speech on TV, Anna Popova, head of the watchdog health Rospotrebnadzor of Russia, said the scientists from the Laboratory Vertok isolated genetic material of the race This is from 7 workers from the above poultry farm.
While this strain is known to be contagious, causing death in birds and poultry, it has never been reported to be transmitted to humans. Thankfully, none of these 7 workers suffered any serious health consequences.
Ms Popova said "time will tell" whether the virus can mutate further. Detecting mutations when the virus is not yet capable of human-to-human transmission gives us time to prepare for possible mutations, to respond in an adequate and timely manner.
