The H5N8 bird flu strain appears in chicken farms in Northern Italy
ANSA news agency of Italy on 17/12 said the strain of H5N8 high-risk bird flu has been confirmed to have appeared at a turkey farm in the North of this country.

It is reported that the outbreak of H5N8 virus has been "determined" by local health facilities at the farm near the city of Rovigo, Veneto region. More than 1,200 poultry died from the H5N8 virus at the farm.
Earlier, the H5N8 strain also appeared in other European countries.
The discovery caused local authorities to quickly apply control measures in areas identified as avian influenza strains and ordered the destruction of 32,000 poultry from the farm.
In November, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) warned of a new strain of bird flu discovered in Germany, Britain and the Netherlands. like the virus strain that appeared in Asia earlier this year.
According to the two organizations, it is a fact that H5N8 virus has appeared in European countries for a very short time, both in a wild bird and in various poultry farms, proving that Wild birds may play a role in the spread of H5N8 virus.
