Russia launched its first private satellite in 2013
Dauria Aerospace Space Company on September 24 said Russia will launch the first satellite built by the private sector in the country in 2013.
The RBC Daily newspaper quoted Dauria Aerospace as saying that the DX1-class satellite and 50kg-weight satellite are used to track the movements of ships on world oceans and test a range of different tonnage.
Satellite will be launched and operated in 2013. Dauria is also planning to start producing the second satellite later this year.
Dauria Aerospace is the first aerospace company founded by private investors in Russia and the first Russian private company to sign a private-state partnership with the Cosmic Agency. Russian state Roscosmos.
