Russia launched the M-56 Progress ship to ISS
The other day (April 24), a Russian freighter succeeded in orbit only 9 minutes after being launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, Russia's first cargo ship this year.
According to the Spaceship Mission Control Center located outside Moscow, the Progress M-56 vessel left the launch pad at 20 hours 3 minutes (local time, 16 hours 3 minutes international time). It has reached the set trajectory 9 minutes after it was launched. At a height of about 200 km above sea level, the Progress ship M-56 left the Soyuz-U rocket to continue its journey to the International Space Station (ISS).
Ship Progress M-56 carries more than 2.5 tons of cargo, including fuel, domestic water, oxygen, fresh vegetables and necessities for maintaining life on the ISS station, gifts for the crew The 13th Russian-American international is working on the station since early April.
It is expected that the Progress M-56 vessel will be paired with ISS today (April 26).
Under the plan, from now until the end of the year, Russia will launch 3 more transport ships and a Union ship with operators to bring the fleet in the 14th expedition to ISS.
