Russia lost contact with the satellite because of a cable break due to road repair

Russian news agency RIA Novosti said on November 14 that the country's aerospace agency lost the ability to send command signals to most satellites and these water segments on the ISS International Space Station due to the Cable breaking near Moscow.

According to RIA, this incident is likely to also complete the plan to bring three astronauts from ISS station to Earth on November 19 after completing the 6-month mission on the station.

RIA leads an unnamed source in the Russian space industry saying it has not been remotely connected to the station 'within the past two hours.'

'Experts can see the crew and talk to them, but cannot send any orders to Russian segments on the station.'

The director of the institute in the Moscow area in charge of the above-mentioned job management told Interfax that the cable breakage stems from road repair.

Another unnamed source said the military satellite system was not affected by the incident, while experts needed at least 48 hours to connect the cable.
