Russia salvaged the meteorite block from the bottom of Lake Chebarkul
The Aleut company, based in the city of Ekaterinburg, has won the bid for the right to salvage the giant meteorite that fell into Lake Chebarkul in Chelyabin province, the Russian Federation in mid-February this year.

Under the plan, Aleut will invest about 1.67 million rubles (more than $ 50,000) for activities related to salvage meteorite blocks in Chelyabin. It is expected that this salvage work will start in September this year and last for 29 days.
On February 15, meteorite with a diameter of nearly 15 meters and weighing about 7,000 tons rushed into the atmosphere at a speed of 64,000km / h and exploded at an altitude of 19-24km above the ground, causing a natural rain The sky clouds of the provinces of Chelyabin, Tyumen, Kyrgan and Sverdlovsk, as well as many localities along the Urals.
More than 1,200 people in these localities were injured, of which 50 were hospitalized. Physical damage is estimated at over 1 billion rubles (more than 33 million USD).
