Find the largest meteorite pieces in Russia
Russian scientists have found the largest meteorite to date in the meteorite fall in Ural on February 15.
Scientists at Ural Federal University have found a meteorite weighing more than 1kg. This is the largest piece of meteorite found in a meteorite explosion in the Chelyabinsk area on February 15.
The expedition leader Voktor Grokhovsky said: 'This is a rock meteorite with only 10% iron.'
Meteorite debris was found during an expedition last weekend.
More than 100 meteorites were found during the 50km long expedition along the asteroid's flight path.
Scientists are conducting further research on meteorites.
