Scientists put nano copper into plant fertilizer
The nano-copper chloride salt introduced into micronutrient fertilizer has two 'fattening' effects and kills bacteria and viruses that cause disease in plants.
Realizing the potential of the application of copper nanoparticles (I) chloride (CuCl nano) in the production of fertilizers to kill fungi , the Center for New Biology and Materials, the Institute of Applied Materials Science has been implemented. Test production, build technological processes and deploy the production line of copper (I) chloride nanoparticles as micro-fertilizer.
After two years of implementation, the research team has successfully produced micronutrient containing nano CuCl in colloidal solution. Finished fertilizer has a copper content of over 98%.

Through experiments, the team discovered copper salt (I) chloride in nano size capable of eradicating many fungal diseases such as rust, pink fungus on coffee, frost mold on tomatoes, potatoes, rotten on cabbage, leaf on rice . Dr. Bui Duy Du, Director of the New Center for Biology and Materials, said that in normal size, copper salts carry the characteristics of copper micro-elements to help plants. grow, grow fast, strong, heal broken, cut, live well in unfavorable environment, eliminate fungal diseases and turn them into nutrients for plants. At nanoscale it will be more effective because it has a large surface area, small size, which helps copper element to move quickly, deep into the fungus and destroy them from within.
Testing in Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces, it was found that after only two days, using micro-nutrients containing CuCl nano to completely eliminate nematode in soil on coffee trees, 80% of brown spot disease on dragon fruits and 70 - 75% of diseases quickly die on pepper, which is a disease that does not have specific medicines.
The research team has perfected the technology and production line of CuCl nano applied in the production of microbial fertilizer to kill fungal diseases.
