Security patch disables IE7
Microsoft yesterday (May 17) recommends Internet Explorer 7 may be completely shut down after users install the latest security update for this browser.
The world's No. 1 software firm said it is urgently trying to remedy the aforementioned incident.
However, the problem only occurs if the user installs the latest security update for IE7 and changes the default " Temporary Internet Files " setting.
Information from Microsoft indicates that the problem is that every time the user starts IE, the security warning dialog box will download the file to appear.
But when the dialog box is closed, IE does not appear because access to the Temporary Internet Files folder has been changed that does not match the default settings.
If the user changes the Temporary Internet Files setting to default, IE can be used normally.
