Smart stickers for diabetics
US scientists have created smart patches that can automatically release insulin for diabetics.

According to a report by a group of experts from the University of North Carolina (USA), which has just published in PNAS, the above patch can help diabetic patients with no obsession when having to inject daily to adjust the amount of sugar in blood.
Smart stickers have a series of ultra-small, painless needles when applied on the skin.At the tip of the needle covered with insulin.
When the body's sugar level rises, the body will try to break down sugar by oxidizing, reducing the body's oxygen. In an oxygen-deficient environment, the wraps containing insulin, which have an outer shell, are an acid, which react and open, releasing insulin into the body.
Experiments on mice with type 1 diabetes suggest that smart patches are more effective than other sugar regulators for diabetics (type 1 and type 2).
In the experiment, after being fed a lot of sugar into the body, the amount of sugar in the smart-patched mouse dropped to a third after just 30 minutes.
According to the University of North Carolina team, the patch will continue to be tested on many other animals, before being tested on humans and marketed.
In 2014, 387 million people worldwide had diabetes. This number will continue to increase and it is expected that the number of people with diabetes will reach 592 million by 2035.
