Currently, Vietnam does not have an overall policy for preventing alcohol abuse.

The two most important areas of production, circulation and consumption only have a few policies but are also outdated. Specifically, the granting of business licenses has not had specific regulations. Production management is left to 90% of production. Regulations on prohibiting alcohol sales for children are not valid. New advertising management does well for the mass media. As for policies affecting users such as civil servants who are not allowed to drink during working hours, or measure alcohol content, traffic participants are almost ineffective.
