Stars are abandoned

It is not easy to get a star out of its galaxy, but experts at Vanderbilt University (USA) have identified a group of more than 675 stars falling into this situation.

To escape from the Milky Way, a star needs tremendous speed, must be more than 3 million km / hr, and only stars with orbits that encounter the black hole at the center of the Milky Way are 'pumped' further to this speed.

According to the Astrophysical Journal report , two Holley astronomers - Bockelmann and Lauren Palladino said that the group of stars they found had two elements that proved they were being expelled from the Milky Way.

First, they are detected in the intergalactic space, located between the Milky Way and the neighboring Andromeda galaxy, but colors show that they start near the center of the Milky Way.

Second, despite moving at super-fast speeds, these stars began a wandering path about 10 million light-years ago from the center to the edge of the Milky Way, and they had to wait another 50,000 years. Get out of this galaxy.

Holley-Bockelmann and Palladino discovered the crowded group of nomadic stars thanks to data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.

Previously, experts only identified 16 super-fast stars, and the whole is still in the Milky Way.
