Touching the scene of cat rescuing abandoned children in the snow

Everyone was shocked and touched when they discovered a stray cat, who helped save an abandoned infant when it was cold.

An infant boy was left in a lobby box of an apartment building in Obninsk, Kaluga region, Russia, when the temperature had dropped below 0 degrees C. A stray cat named Marsha had climbed into it. The box and the incubator for the poor child for many hours continuously until discovered by the residents of the building.

According to witnesses, when touched by the crying of the child, they saw the cat curled up around the frozen boy and licked his face. The TV channel REN quoted a building resident named Nadezhda Makhovikova, who went to the foot of the stairs after hearing the catastrophic cries of a cat.

"When I sat down, I saw in the box a crying baby , " said Makhovikova.

Ms. Makhovikova and everyone then called an ambulance. The Marsha cat followed the medical staff as they took the newborn baby to the ambulance.

Vera Ivanina, a medical worker at the scene, commented: "The cat seems to be very worried about where we will bring the child. It runs right behind us and meow. It really is a smart, knowledgeable animal ".

At the hospital, doctors determine, boys are about 2-3 months old. When abandoned, she was wearing clean clothes and was put in a box with some diapers.

Test results revealed, abandoned boys are completely healthy and develop normally, despite hours of cold weather outside. According to hospital spokesman, thanks to Marsha cat, the boy did not suffer any harm despite the harsh weather.

Everyone living in Obninsk apartment complex decided to reward Marsha with lots of delicious food. Police are trying to find abandoned parents, while she is currently being cared for at a local hospital.
