Strange for long flights ... more than 1 minute

Loganair, Scotland's regional airline, recently launched the world's shortest flight schedule, lasting more than a minute and a half from Westray Island to Papa Westray Island, in the Orkney Islands of northern England.

Flying from Westray Island to Papa Westray Island , in the Orkney Islands in the north of England takes only a minute and a half.

This route is nearly 3 km long and costs a ticket of 17 pounds (about 22 USD).

The flight time was so short that it was likened to just a flash on the radar screen.

The cost for this flight is £ 17.

Meanwhile, a longest flight in the world has just been put into operation last week. It is Singapore Airlines' New York-Singapore service with a $ 2,147 fare and a flight time of nearly 18 hours, 1,080 times longer than Loganair flight.

The Westray-Papa Westray service is not the only short flight that Loganair offers. The route between the two islands of Eday and Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands takes only 10 minutes.

In addition to the extremely short flights offered by Scotland's Loganair, there are also some very short flights in the world, such as: a 16-minute flight between San Francisco and Santa Rosa opened by United Airlines (USA) last; 10-minute flight between Toronto and Niagara is the pride of Canadian Greater Toronto Airways and a 15-minute flight between Kalaupapa and Ho'olehua airports on Moloka'I in Hawaii.

Of course, road traffic has no particularly bad effect on the environment because the aircraft is responsible for 2.5% of global carbon dioxide emissions. Therefore, visitors who are concerned about carbon emissions may consider using other means of travel, such as a 25-minute ferry connecting Westray and Papa Westray islands.
