Strange: Girls have syndrome

Supatra Sasuphan, 11, was officially recognized as the most hairy girl in the world. This Thai girl is also nicknamed the 'werewolf child'.

According to the Daily Mail , Supatra Sasuphan is now recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the most hairy girl in the world.

This 11-year-old Thai girl suffers from Ambras syndrome caused by genetic mutations, causing her hair to grow all over her face, ears, limbs and back. Currently, only 50 people in the world suffer from this disease.

Ambras Syndrome makes Supatra meet most difficulties in daily life and study. The classmates used to take Supatra to make jokes. These students call me by the nickname ' werewolf ' or ' monkey face '.

However, Supatra said she is now less teased and has become accustomed to her illness. She confided, sometimes she also found it difficult to see because the long hairs covered her eyes.

Supatra's wish is to be cured and have a normal life like the children her age. She confided: ' I wish one day my hair will disappear. I also want to become a doctor to be able to cure people '.

Supatra Sasuphan was found to have Ambras Syndrome immediately after birth. Doctors used laser treatments to remove Supatra's hair when she was just 2 years old. However, the hairs then grow back faster and thicker.
