The unnamed man photographed a pillar like floating in the clouds as he looked out of the window of Ryanair's Boeing 737 plane about to land in Bristol airport on December 5, according to Mirror. He said he used map information during the flight to determine he is at 1,400m altitude at the time of seeing the pillar and sharing images on social network Reddit.

Some argue that it is a 293-meter antenna tower from the Mendip transceiver station located atop the Pen hill in Somerset.
