On the afternoon of March 31, the Ministry of Education and Training awarded the National Science and Technology Competition in the Northern Region. The competition is co-organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Intel Vietnam Group.
The organizers have awarded the first prize to two projects: Research on the production of Isoflavones and the method of treating laboratory wastewater with limestone and sawdust for groups of students in Chu Van An High School - Hanoi.
In addition, the organizers also awarded 6 second prizes, 7 third prizes and many other prizes for projects created by high school students in the northern provinces under the guidance of many scientists and lecturers. University, college, academy members.

This is the second school year the competition is organized with the number of students and number of participating units increased sharply: 33 provinces and cities. Particularly in the North, there are 23 localities with 94 projects in 15 fields and 200 students attending.
The competition has attracted, gathered many scientists to participate in guidance, suggestions, dots, select projects from grassroots level to national level. Some universities, including FPT University, also attended, awarded and announced the priority of enrolling students with award-winning projects.
In 2012, at the International Science and Technology Competition, three Hanoi - Amsterdam students won the first prize with the theme 'Treating saltwater into fresh water by vacuum and solar energy'.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Head of the Organizing Committee of Nguyen Vinh Hien contest said the competition aims to innovate teaching methods and forms; At the same time, it is the first step to discover and nurture the talents of scientific research, the passion for scientific research of students, the connection between general education and higher education. The professors and researchers also participated in guiding the students to complete the topics that could be applied to solve immediately the problems that are posing in the surrounding life.
