Begin to consider giving Ho Chi Minh Prize about science and technology
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just decided to set up a State Council to award Ho Chi Minh Prize and State Award for Science and Technology 2010.
The chairman of the council is Mr. Nguyen Quan, Minister of Science and Technology, two vice chairmen of the council and 18 council members who are leaders of ministries, institutes, academies and scientists.
The Council's task is to help the Prime Minister select scientific and technological works and clusters to propose the President to award Ho Chi Minh Prize and State Prize on science and technology.
The Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Award for Science and Technology are among the highest awards in Vietnam, the recognition, honor, encouragement and state of the Vietnamese scientists. .
This award is reviewed and published every 5 years. The works of the study must meet the criteria of exceptionally excellent, high value in science, wide and long-term effects in people's lives, contributing to the development of the country's career.
In 2005, the Ministry of Science and Technology was the lead agency led by Minister Hoang Van Phong. The Ho Chi Minh Prize has recently been donated to 12 works and works; 41 works and works clusters awarded with the State Prize also have characteristics associated with life and production.
