Successful modulation of serum diagnosis of cholera strains 0139

Ho Chi Minh Pasteur Institute said that the Institute has successfully prepared a new serum used to diagnose new cholera strains, often called cholera strains 0139.

This is a part of a serological diagnostic study that is taken from rabbit blood specifically used to diagnose specific cholera strains.

This type of serum is only used in laboratories, they play a role in detecting whether or not the cholera type 0139 in Vietnam. Until now, Vietnam only had cholera bacteria in Inaba and Ogawa. There are two countries in the world that have been affected by cholera strain 0139, Bangladesh and India.

In addition to the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, there are currently no units in Vietnam that can produce the above serum to serve laboratories and preventive health centers in order to early diagnose cholera strains 0139.

Serological diagnosis of cholera strain 0139 was diagnosed by cholera, leprosy, typhoid at the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City on the basis of applying the process of preparing diagnostic serum from the WHO Cooperation Center. Pasteur Paris.
