The new dagger was found.

Archaeologist Matus Sladok said: "This is a bronze blade , the symbol of power that not everyone can have in the old days."

This ancient dagger is still in good condition, 24.5cm long and weighs 320 grams.

The upper part is carved with tree branches and the bottom has three holes for the blade to attach to the handle.

Many archaeological experts believe that this knife may belong to the Unetice culture , at the beginning of the Middle Eastern European era around 4,000 years ago. This culture is now mostly known from places in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

According to Sladok, the riverbank where the knife was found is probably not the first place it appears."It can float from somewhere to this place in the long run in the past . "

So far, four ancient daggers have been found in Slovakia.
