Sunflower plants bloom 104 flowers

Gordon Davis's sunflowers have so far grown 104 flowers and this is considered a record of a sunflower.

When he first saw a sunflower growing into the carrot bed, Mr. Gordon, 70, intended to spit it out. But only three months later, Mr. Gordon, a gardener in Gloucestershire in the west of England, was happy not to do so.

Sunflower plants are 3 meters tall.

Although the weather in July and August was not favorable, Gordon witnessed the flower growing relentlessly. So far, this flower has 3 meters tall and blooms a total of 104 flowers.

Gordon believed that he could be listed in the Guinness Book of Records because normally a sunflower only blooms a flower. He said that he often used chicken manure to fertilize and this could be the secret to help the tall sunflower abnormally and have so many flowers.
