Research Institute of Hitachi Electronics has developed a technology that allows people to read their thoughts by measuring changes in the blood vessels of the brain.

Researchers estimate the new technology could help critically ill patients and people with disabilities be able to control the device remotely.

The foundation of this technology is called a photomorphic system that radiates harmless near-infrared rays into the patient's head to measure their brains - especially in the anterior region. Changes in their thinking will be displayed in pictures, then converted into electronic signals and sent to the control of electronic devices.
