Test sleep for mission to Mars

An experiment is underway to find the best way to sleep for astronauts in Mars missions.

A group of 12 people is participating in the scientific research, and the only requirement is to lie on the bed placed at a lower angle of six degrees from the horizontal for a total of nine weeks.

Located in the exact same angle is equivalent to the effect on the body in a state of gravitylessness, due to the lower head of the leg, according to Wired.

In every 3 weeks, volunteers will be watching a strict diet, controlled by nutrition experts, to observe the impact of food on the body in this respect.

They are not allowed to interact with outsiders during the experiment.

In collaboration with the French Space Agency of CNES, scientists at the Institute of Medes in Toulouse (France) are hoping to test the physical effect in a gravityless environment that astronauts will suffer during their travels. Long onions slightly to the red planet.

The results may also be useful to help people who are bedridden.

Reportedly, the Medes Institute received 500 records for a 'bed research' project, and only 12 were selected.
