Emulate mission on Mars
Austrian scientists have announced a scientific task for a month to simulate future missions on Mars.
The event will be conducted in February 2013 in the Moroccan desert, including the testing of two space suits for astronauts and how to track and retrieve the self-propelled Mars Rover.
This simulation test called MARS 2013 is controlled by Innsbruck. That is to create a tight control between the Earth Operations Center and Mars astronauts.
According to UPI news agency, contact information from the Control Center to the crew will be delayed by 10 minutes, exactly when sending and receiving information from the earth to the red planet.
