According to Mirror, the turtle named Touche lives in Nancy Knauss's home in Fresno, California, USA, for the past 55 years. Touche suddenly left home on August 9. The 100-year-old turtle is nearsighted, so Mrs. Knauss, 60, is very worried about it now.
Knauss posted many websites and dropped leaflets in the residents' mailboxes to help them find Touche.
After reading the information of Mrs. Knauss's turtle on social media, a man named Steven George in Ashland, California, found Touche when he climbed up the dome-shaped cap in the neighborhood garden.
Most likely, Touche thinks this water pipe is a male turtle hiding under the shell. Thus, Touche turtles have gone over 10km journey in just 10 days to find "mates".
