Two skeletons with intimate posture are found in Kazakhstan.

Archaeologists were attracted to the discovery of two skeletons facing each other, a rare posture when excavating graves. This "ancient Romeo and Juliet" couple is said to die at 16 or 17 years old.

"Two skeletons facing each other made us feel strange. Inside the tomb were many valuable objects buried with the young couple," said archaeologist Igor Kukushkin.

Gold and copper bracelets and treasures were also discovered in the tomb.

Researchers say both can come from noble families 4,000 years ago. Gold and copper treasures are found inside graves with bracelets, necklaces, rings, gold earrings on the young girl's skeleton.

One theory is that the couple loves each other and are buried together. Before they died, they turned to look at each other for the last time. That may explain why the two skeletons face each other when discovered.

However, the cause of the young couple's death is still a mystery.

The tomb of the nun is located next to the young couple's grave.

Next to the young couple's tomb, archaeologists also discovered the tomb of a nun.

"The woman was buried with seven jars, ashes and a skull. The graves around them were all robbed of this grave separately and were not touched. Maybe, what was inside the grave scared the bandits. No. 7 is an unusual number , " Kukushkin said.

Kazakhstan is a "treasure" with archaeologists when many ancient artifacts are found in this Central Asian country. In 2018, a treasure of gold jewelry dating back to 2,800 years was excavated here. This treasure consists of 3,000 gold objects buried in the remote mountain area of Tarbagatai. It is said to belong to an ancient king or a noble clan.
