"It was great to be back and it was a great journey," CNN quoted George Zamka as saying when he returned to earth last night.
The astronauts on Endeavor have installed a new module called Tranquility for the space station. Tranquility is about 7 meters long and weighs 15 tons. This device consists of 7 glass vents and will help observers have the widest vision ever to earth and space.
This is the last major assembly of equipment for this space station worth about $ 100 billion. 16 countries have contributed to the development of ISS since 1998.
After this trip, NASA will only make three more journeys before the entire fleet of three space shuttle retirement late this year, Euronews said. Supply trips to ISS will be carried out by Russian, Japanese and European vessels.
