The owner of this strange buffalo is the couple Mr. Hoang Cuong (49 years old) and Mrs. Truong Thi Ha (42 years old, staying in Giao Liem village, Trieu Do commune (Trieu Phong, Quang Tri).

Mrs. Ha said, her family bought a buffalo from a commune member when she was 1 year old for 3 million VND. At that time, the buffalo horn had just sprung about 5cm, touching it softly like the teeth were about to fall.

Then the buffalo horns grew but instead of growing up towards the sky like other buffaloes, it turned to the ground - called the horn of the index. Because of this strange pair of horns, Ms. Ha and her husband named the buffalo a "Whistle".

Mrs. Ha said that until now, the 9-year-old buffalo has given birth to 6 buffaloes, but none of them have horns like their mother's. In Trieu Do commune and in other communes, there are many buffaloes, but none of them have similar horns.

Because of the difference in the pair of horns, so the buffalo is attracted by many people, in which many foreigners who pass by often ask the owner to take photos with the buffalo.

Ms. Ha said, this buffalo is very gentle, after being released to the field to look for food, it will go home. The pair of horns that make the buffalo buffalo is weak but when some animal attacks its child, it is ready to respond with all its strength to protect the child.

According to Ms. Ha, the family plans to be older in the future, and when it dies, it will be buried and not sold or sliced.
