The boy's death left 4 words T
Peter (England) died at the age of 13 because of diabetes, leaving the 4-letter "T" method to help you self-control this dangerous disease.
"I stayed by Peter's bedside all night," recalled Sister Beth, Peter's mother. The boy wakes up. Beth talked to her son but he was unable to respond. The boy tried to move the oxygen mask in weakness.
Around 6am that morning, a nurse walked across the room and told Beth that "rest your head a bit" . Beth replied, "No problem, I'm fine." The nurse still didn't forget to encourage: "The boy will be fine, please take a nap".
Beth sat next to her son and rested her head on the small pillow. 10 minutes later, the mother suddenly jumped up."I don't know what wakes me up. I have a bad feeling , " Beth recalled. Beth then cried out to the nurse when she saw the gray boy's face soften. "She came running, her eyes panicked. I felt everything around was broken," Beth said.

A nurse asked Beth to call her husband to the hospital immediately. A few minutes later Stuart was at the hospital . "The doctor said Peter's heart was beating back. They took him to the operating room, and we just waited , " Beth said.
Waiting in vain. Peter died after 6 days of hospitalization. In Beth's memories, only sad memories remained.

According to the BBC, Peter has been gone for three years but Beth has never calmed down, even grumbling against herself. Christmas 2014, Peter suddenly felt unwell. Doctors diagnose Peter with chest infections and give antibiotics home for treatment."The doctor told Peter to have only a chest infection, but I found him weak and tired , " Beth said.
Peter was only admitted to the hospital when his grandparents saw the unusualness of his grandson and asked to take the boy to the emergency hospital as quickly as possible."I felt terrified. Peter didn't seem to be able to breathe. When he arrived, the doctors immediately let him breathe oxygen," Beth recalls.
The doctor gave Peter a blood test and after just 30 seconds concluded he had type 1 diabetes . The emergency doctor told Peter that he was in the DKA stage - diabetic ketoacidosis , which was when the whole body stopped working due to insufficient insulin and depleted the organs.
Although the disease was discovered correctly, it was too late for Peter. The doctor said that Peter's body was "closed " to everything, he could not resist. A series of tests were done, Peter was also on dialysis but began to appear brain damage.
After cardiac arrest and emergency doctors, Peter was in the intensive care unit for four days. " We sat next to him all the time but it didn't wake up , " Beth said. By the sixth day after admission, the boy died.

Peter left, Beth was in extreme pain. The mother feels that she is bad because she does not fulfill her responsibility when she does not see unusual signs of her child's serious illness. After finding out, Beth and her family set up a charity called Know Type 1, which specializes in helping situations like Peter and most importantly propagating to people to become more aware of the danger level. diabetes.
"After the propaganda campaign was launched, many people contacted us and said that they only found out when they were admitted to the emergency room. In fact, the disease can be recognized by a test. Simple check with 4 T ".
Beth urgently asked the pediatrician to examine the sick children, as well as those who felt they were unwell, should pay attention to the physical manifestations and take the test through four "T":
- Tired - Do you feel tired, moody all day?
- Thirsty - Are you thirsty, drink a lot of water and not thirsty?
- Toilet - Do you urinate more than usual / Does the child naturally pee when sleeping?
- Thinner - Do you have continuous weight loss?
Just 30 seconds of answering four small questions plus using a blood test tool can identify type 1 diabetes and prevent unfortunate consequences.
